We are back with the weekly wax. A track that is currently doing the rounds. Whether it is working dance floors, after parties or the festival circuit we guarantee a waxer. From re-found gems to just-released floor fillers this is our weekly wax. This weeks record comes in the form of The RRP label boss & resident DJ Fell Reis.
Fell Reis the Brazilian born DJ, currently residing in Ibiza has been busy juggling his recent tour of Asia & Australia with long shifts in the studio. As a result of these marathon stints, he has once again delivered a superb techno-driven sonic remix. This time of Edu Imbernon & Los Suruba’s track, ‘Mehari‘.
The track is an emotive, liberating piece that builds on the already solid foundations of the two Spanish producers. Spiritual undertones exist from the start. The effect an eerie, heightened sense of what is to come as the tunes melodic bass line draws the dancer into a powerful techno crescendo.
Fell’s rise since making the move across continents is a credit to his graft and pursuit of perfection. Having seen early support from the likes of Solomun, Whomadewho & Nick Warren it appears Fell Reis’ undisputable production knowledge is now being rewarded further.
The remix is part of a 4 song EP on Sasha’s, Last Night On Earth imprint. Already rising through the charts the EP is available for general release today. The credibility which accompanies such a prestigious label has undoubtedly set the artist on a rapid trajectory to the top echelons of the DJ universe.
