Sunwaves is the first and last word in narcotic, indefatigable house. The Romanian seaside marathon has become a yearly pilgrimage for locals and an ever-increasing set of international visitors drawn to the festival’s signature sound, hedonistic atmosphere, and relatively affordable cost. Despite celebrating 25 editions this year, the festival is impervious to change, doggedly sticking to what it does best, namely coaxing out special sets from connoisseurs like Arapu, SIT and Cezar.
To celebrate what was an epic week of hidden gems, groovy rollers and 24-hour marathons we have picked 10 of the biggest tracks from the weekend. Our Who Played Who is by no means the definitive list, as Sunwaves is home to some of dance music’s deepest diggers. Making this task near impossible as a lot of the music is unreleased exclusives.
