Certain events garner a certain respect. Love International is one of those events. It has a certain credibility with each of the stakeholders involved. Artists love to perform at Love and you are just as likely to see them dipping in to the crowd dancing with the people as you to see some of the best track selections about. Party people return year on year and the ‘industry’ use it as their go to location. This mix of different people letting go as one is all part of the Love International magic.
As the festival enters its fourth year, it returns on the back of last years sold out show. This year the dates have been confirmed with the festival taking place from 3rd July – 10th July. As usual the location is the picturesque town of Tisno, Croatia. Tom Paine, one of the festivals co-founders had this to say, “We love it when people fully immerse themselves in Tisno and the festival. It’s such a beautiful picture postcard place. A gorgeous backdrop, with little coves and hideaways and places to discover. Further afield, there are islands, cities and beaches ready for exploration too.”
Last years event had many stand out moments including a now legendary Roman Flügel set at the equally renowned Barbarellas. However this years line up announcement already looks ready to give 2018 a run for its money. DJ Harvey will make his Love debut with an extended set as will world conquering woman, Peggy Gou. Other debutants include Nicolas Lutz who will play b2b alongside Craig Richards. These b2b sets have become some what legendary when they occur as two of the worlds best crate diggers show off their impressive record collections. Other new comers include; A Love From Outer Space, Vladimir Ivkovic, Ivan Smagghe. The list does go on with Haai, DMX Krew, Andrew Weatherall, Orpheu the Wizard and Manfredas.
There is also the case of the returning artists. Flügel is back alongside Ben Ufo, Joy Orbison, Midland and Horse Meat Disco. As well as the return of Shanti Celeste whose b2b set with Saoirse last year was earmarked by many as one of the most raucous b2b of recent times. The energy on Love International‘s famous boat parties is always electric. However that set took it to a whole new level. If you have been before we don’t have to tell you twice. If you have’t been you would be stupid to miss it.
