Police have confirmed a 17-year old male has been arrested on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack.

The unidentified 17-year-old was apprehended after plotting to attack a gay venue and a Catholic church – in Frankfurt.

After raiding the teens house, police found instructions on how to make explosives. They also recovered explosive material and established the suspect was attempting to procure chemicals online. Frankfurt prosecutors’ spokesman Sinan Akdogan said. The investigation is ongoing.

Unfortunately it seems music venues are no longer safe. Last month, it was revealed that terrorists who killed 15 people in two attacks in Barcelona in August researched music venues and festivals during their preparation.  As well as the unfortunate Bataclan attack in 2015

It was recently confirmed that Asia’s largest electronic music festival, Sunburn, was targeted for a terror attack by a far-right group last year.
