After his latest remix on Songspire Records dropped we sat down with the man himself to discuss life on the road as a touring DJ.

What is the city you would love to move to one day?

My favourite city always was Barcelona, but I would like to have the Berlin experience at least once in my life. Living in a city is a completely different experience compared to visiting. I love going to Berlin as a tourist but I think there is so much more you need to discover.

What was the last place to blow your mind?

Actually the whole world tour was mind blowing to be honest with you but the most impressive city was Singapore. That place is nuts! Everywhere is so clean and green! The island is the same size as Ibiza, however it is completely covered by skyscrapers and giant trees. I came from Brazil and we have jungle everywhere, but I never saw that harmonic connection between nature and concrete. The gardens by the bay and the views from the CE LA VI rooftop where I played made for an unbeliveble experience.

What do you never get on a flight with out?

First thing always my usb. Them my computer. If I gonna stay more than 3 days at the same city I try to bring my skateboard too. I was a professional skateboarder when I was young. There is no better way to discover a city than getting on your board and skating it.

What is the most surreal thing that has ever happened to you?

But the craziest thing was during this last world tour. I won’t mention any names or places but it as my last night in the country. It also happened to be my last gig. So a girl who I had met before came to say goodbye and go to the party with me and my friends. She was super drunk, in fact really drunk actually.

I told her, to take a shower before we all got ready to go to the party and try and sober up.She was delaying so much, I decided to check if she was ok. When I opened the door, she was floating facedown in the bath. Yes, floating facedown. It was the scariest scene I have witnessed in my life. At the moment I thought, “I go to the jail” how I could explain this, I’m a DJ from another country and the girl dies in my bath. I took her out from the bath and started CPR. Then after a couple screams and a lot of praying she came back to life.

I laugh now but  Was a really tense moment.

Where is the most unique place you have ever played?

Definitely in my home country, Brasil. There is a city in the north of the country called Trancoso and over the New Year period there are a lot of good parties. They all take place in the middle of the jungle and the people are super cool, the atmosphere is super nice. I normally play for a venue called Fly Club, usually quite deep sets. Everything is great there. I would highly recommend anyone to go for NYE experience there.

Where is the best hotel you have ever stayed?

I have been in many hotels but I think the best one always will be in my hometown. The Taua Araxá Grande Hotel in Araxá (Brasil) is absolutely mental. It looks a castle in the middle of the forest. A massive building with beautiful gardens designed by Burle Max. The complex has everything, pools, horses, wild adventures but the main thing for me is the massive spa. The Hotel is in a thermal area, where the water is naturally heated and has high magnetic properties. The experience is next level I fully recommend!
