Stephan Bodzin Weekender, Electric Brixton
The Stephan Bodzin weekender will take place at Londons Electric Brixton across Friday and Saturday night. Stephan Bodzin is using this as an opportunity to showcase his new visual / live show that features 78, 10 foot high curved LED wraparound screens, 7 sun strip lighting batons pulsating through the LED screens and 9 red floor-to-ceiling lasers making this the ultimate immersive performance. Known for his already engaging and energetic live sets he brings support from Fideles, Luna Semara and Antonio De Anelis as well as Friday night welcoming special guest Marc Romboy.
Innervisions, The Royal Albert Hall
Ape-x ‘The Highest Point’, Digital
For the first time the Berlin based London producer will bring his hard hitting techno sound to the main room of Digital. Also on the bill is Paul Woolford playing under his Special Request alias which features a techno twist with elements of breakbeat and jungle. If two of technos biggest names weren’t enough the experienced geordie promoters have added one of the hottest names in dance music, Mella Dee and Canoe label owner Nyra. Expect the usual loyal crowd from start to finish.
Welcome to the Warehouse, Store Street
Entering its final year beneath the streets of Manchester, The Warehouse Project have announced that as of next year its it will be leaving its spiritual home, the infamous Store Street. As usual the Manchester promoters aim to go out with a bang and bring an all star line up for the opening party. The headliners need little introduction, Warehouse project veterans Seth Troxler, Peggy Gou, and Innervisions boss Dixon are joined by Midland and Roman Flugel who go b2b. Mall grab, Dj Seinfield and Call Super will all grace the decks after having all dominated the underground scene over the past year. Finally Or:La, The Dekmantel Soundsystem and long standing residents Kyrsko & Greg Lord finish the bill.
The Zoo Project goes to Middlesborough, Chambers
One of the UK’s longest running underground parties, *Riffraff have decided to fly in the crazy, the spectacular and the ultimate mad house, The Zoo Project Ibiza and turn two of Boro’s finest venues into a Teeside reincarnation of the Zoo Project Treehouse and famous seal pit. Jumping on the flight over from the white isle will be the full Zoo Project dance crew and performers as well as Radio Ones Monki, the queen of the seal pit Milou, The RRP resident Dj Lee Pennington. Finally to finish of this jumbo line up *riffraff resident Sahar plays alongside Roxby & Bonz.
Maeve Rave, E1
One of our favourite venues for large scale warehouse parties and one of dance musics best performers team up to bring Maeve Rave to the flourishing London party scene. This is a match made in heaven with Mano Le Tough’s signature melodic techno and deep journeyman vibes suiting E1’s spectacular 4 point sound system set in concrete. The line up consists of the tri-fector, the 3 label owners and close friends Mano Le Tough, Baikal & The Drifter, as well as special guest Matthew DeKay.
Fly Open Air Festival, Princess Street Gardens
The burgeoning open-air festival has expanded to now cover two days, with domestic heroes Theo Kottis and Jasper James programming Saturday and Sunday respectively. Fly resident Theo Kottis will take control of proceedings on Saturday inviting Kerri Chandler, Move D, Hammer to join him and the notoriously lively Scottish crowd plus as an added bonus there will be a special live set from Henrik Schwarz. Sundays antics see Jasper James take over with long time pal Jackmaster, Peggy Gou, Palms Trax and Subby legends legends Harri & Domenic.
