Monday morning rolls around once again as we sit back down at our desks reminiscing about last weekends escapades. To soften the blow and help your prepare for the week ahead we have chosen five events worthy of your time. This is club watch our essential UK parties.

ARRVL at Cafe 1001 with Anii, London

Cafe 1001 is Shoreditch’s creative playground for both well-known and up & coming artists. One of London’s cooler dance spaces with state of the art sound and lighting it combines the best elements of East London’s vibrant scene. This weekend ARRVL will take over in full force for a special day party. As usual they will bring their own take on melodic house and deep techno via their residents. As well as three very special headliners.

Kompakt Records new girl, Anii heads up the billing with her emotional and dramatic techno. Since moving from her native Poland Anii has become an integral part of the London warehouse scene whilst also finding time to graduate the Point Blank School of Music. KatrinKA, no stranger to the ARRVL crowd will join Anii on the day bring another element to this already exciting event. The final headliner who continues to fly the flag for these all female headliners is Lorraine Roar. Raw emotion, breathtaking melodies and powerful basslines all day long.


You&Me present Archie Hamilton, Manchester

You&Me are the brand that just can’t stop. Epitomising everything that is right about the Manchester scene at the moment You&ME are establishing themselves in the upper echelons of UK dance music. Lead by one of the UK’s hottest talents, in Josh Baker and supported by a host of impressive residents the sky is the limit for this crew who recently announced their debut festival, Hide&Seek.

As a prerequisite to this summers action the You&Me crew will continue their run of monthly events. This weekend sees the return of Archie Hamilton. This will be the fourth time the crew have bought the Moscow Records boss to the city. Why? Because each and every time has been nothing but an unadulterated electro master class. Warm up duties will be left in good stead as main man Josh Baker is joined by the ever faithful Jacob Samuel.

Makin moves 100th release event with Manoo, London

Not many labels have the longevity, creativity or quality to reach 100 releases. There is a certain skill to staying competitive in a saturated market with each label only being as good as their last release. This alone speaks volumes for the work done by the Makin’ Moves team. This weekend they will celebrate their 100th release in style with a free party at The Curtain, Shoreditch.

Headline duties have been given to French DJ and producer Manoo. Considered one of the communities rising stars, he has previously graced the decks alongside David Morales, Kerri Chandler, Todd Terry and Dj Deep. As a producer he rubs shoulders with an equally impressive list of names. He is a regular on Buzzin’ Fly Records as well as Future Vision. Most impressively though was his recently release titled, Toukan, that received the remix treatment from Innervisions stalwart, Dixon.

Joining Manoo on the night is Makin’ Moves residents Matt L-S and Jamesey which almost guarantees an evening of house cuts, smooth edits and lots of grooving. As this party is limited capacity, you must email names to info@makin-moves.co.uk

Pulse with Blawan, Edinbrugh

If you are in Edinbrugh and your a techno fan you have it all this weekend. Pulse who have been behind a number of the cities most raucous events in recent months, will bring the Ternesc Records boss to the cities famous Caves. Barnsley born, Berlin based Blawan, has created his own universe within techno through formidable live sets or high energy DJ sets.

His rich modular sounding techno, will perfectly within the 18th century sub structure underneath the South Bridge, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Made up of a restored series of interlocking brick walled vaults this event is not one to be missed, with support coming from resident and founder of Pulse, Darren Pulse and fellow Pulse resident Sean Laird.

Terminal 4 2nd birthday with Oxia at Source Bar Maidstone

As we leave March behind us, and head into April, its special month for London based promoters Terminal 4. This weekend they will celebrate their 2nd birthday back where it all began, returning to The Source in Kent. Over the years Terminal 4 have threw parties all across Europe, from The Steelyard in London, Panama in Amsterdam to the white isle of Ibiza taking over Eden.

Headlining is french heavy hitter Oxia. Since his first release 1995, Oxia has become one of Frances most influential artists. He boasts an impressive catalogue of releases across many top labels, Kompakt, Hot Creations and 8bit to name a few. High energy style techno can be heard throughout as Oxia will be accompanied by London based DJ Joe Blake and residents OK1 and Clayton.
