As Tuesday evening rolls around and we can finally head home with the sun beating down we know it means only one thing. The next instalment of The RRP mix series courtesy of one of London’s very talented up and coming DJs. This week we hand over the reins to Maui for episode 033.
For those not yet familiar with this talented DJ and producer, Maui is the co-founder of a group of young French promoters who have made the British capital their home. With their arrival, they have bought a blend of melodic techno, underground artists and day & night parties to the city with a unique twist.
As an artist, Maui’s music taste is as diverse as his record collection is deep. His sets often pay homage to his different musical influences where you are just as likely to hear Afro House move into Indie Dance and roll into heavier techno numbers.
Over the last few years, he has been cultivating somewhat of an identity and with it a reputation. Now regularly playing at the cities biggest venues; Micks Garage, Cell 200, Shoreditch Platform & Night Tales where we were lucky enough to catch him effortlessly moving a crowd.
You can next catch this certified party starter at Egg London with Lehar or the Shindo party on June 15 at Studio 9294 where he will be joined behind the decks by Super Flu & David Mayer.
